There are so many ways to serve Pick your favorites and jump in!
Pantry Service: Assist pantry shoppers with check-in and check-out process, as cashier, bagger or stocker at the CCA pantry on first Thursday of each month from 5:30-8:00pm. Commitment: you select the month you wish to volunteer.
Adopt-a-Shelf: Select a month for your organization (bible study, church, employer, neighborhood, etc) to collect and donate to the hygiene/sundries aisle in the pantry. Responsible for delivery to CCA of collected items. Commitment is as often as you desire.
Fundraising: Not a function of CCACL however, assistance with CCA’s fundraising efforts is always appreciated. Work with CCA Auction Committee/Event Committee for any of CCA’s 3 yearly fundraising events: Swing & Serve, Season of Hope and Black Tie Affair. Commitment varies.
Thanksgiving/Christmas Baskets: Help prepare baskets for holiday pick-up. Commitment varies.
Toy Store Shopping for Teens: Collect and/or shop for items (mostly gift cards) for teens for Christmas using CCACL funds from High Tea. Commitment is beginning in October through November.
Christmas Toy Store: Help the Angel Moms and Dads in toy shopping/selection for their children. Commitment is during Christmas season, for 3-4 hours shifts.
Giving Tree: November and December – Staff table at one of three malls, answer questions about CCA, log in name of Giver for each tag selected and receive toys. Commitment: 3-4 hour shifts during morning, afternoon, or evening.
Christmas Toy Store Manager: Train and manage volunteers for 1 or more days during Toy Store dates. Commitment includes training and at least 1 full day managing the Toy Store 9-4pm.
Appreciation Events: Serve as hostess/helper at 1 or more of CCA’s appreciation events – Donor, Church and/or Volunteer Appreciation. Commitment is 2-3 hours.
April High Tea: Service hours will be requested of all members by means of serving on committees, set up, clean up, hosting a table, Silent Auction, decorating, etc. Commitment depends on committee needs.
Back To School Shopping: Shop for clothing for BTS store per CCA requirements with CCACL funds from High Tea. Commitment varies during summer.
Back to School Store: Assist Angel parents in school clothes and shoe shopping for school age children. Commitment is 3-4 hour shifts during August.
Prayer Warrior: Pray for the efforts of our group, for CCA and the Angels served and all other requests. Commitment is daily.
Community Liaison: Speak for CCA in our community to organizations, schools, school classrooms and corporations. Represent CCA at awareness events such as all networking events, non-profit fairs, etc. Commitment is ongoing as needed.
Community Outreach: Promotes CCA and the work of CCACL throughout our community. Recruit new members to our cause and help engage our community in service to the poor. Commitment as needed.
Church Liaison: Being the medium between your church and CCA. Commitment is as needed.
CCA Tour Guide: Assist CCA with overflow of campus tour request to corporations, schools and organizations. Commitment varies.
reSale: Assist in promoting reSale events, help educate others of the tremendous value of reSale to our Angels, participate in occasional promotions at reSale locations such as Prom Make-over, video promos, In-Store events. Commitment varies.
Photographer: Photographs events and activities at which CCACL is participating; will forward those photos to Publicity Director. Commitment dependent on activities.
Welcome Team: Help greet members and guests, offering direction at meetings. Work with Membership Director to contact and welcome prospective members. Commitment varies.
Hospitality: Write thank you notes as necessary, recognize members with good news to be shared at meetings, request prayer at meetings for members in need, acknowledge birthdays and member news. Commitment varies.
Program Director: Adopt A Shelf, Teen Store Efforts, Toy Store Shopping for Teens, Back To School Shopping. Commitment varies.
Volunteer Coordinator: Coordinate volunteers for CCA functions and pantry service, manage sign-ups, email follow-ups, work with Sergio of CCA. Commitment varies.
Committee member:
High Tea: Work with chairperson to plan and implement High Tea.Volunteers: Act as a lead volunteer at functions, helping to coordinate and instruct CCACL volunteer group. Programs: Work with Program Director to enhance and expand CCACL’s key interests for CCA
Website: Maintaining the Charity League website with updated information from meetings, assist the web person in different ways. Commitment is weekly.
Publicity: Advertise/write articles for CCACL events both before and after, such as High Tea. Commitment varies.
Membership Director: Co-ordinate New Member Orientation, guide the CCA Tour for members after all meetings. Commitment is ongoing.
